The YZF750R was Yamaha's sports 750 that replaced the ageing FZ750, developed from the OW01 race bike but built for the road. It is known for quick, light steering, a strong midrange helped by the EXUP exhaust valve, and standard six-piston front calipers. Compared with the SP it uses ordinary carburettors and simpler suspension, making it the more road-friendly version.
